Leonardo has a wide experience in the tax area of over 18 years serving national and international companies, having worked in law firms in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, besides having worked in auditing companies (big four). He was a foreign associate at Milbank LLP in New York (USA). He is also a professor of undergraduate and MBA courses at FIPECAFI/USP, of the LL.M. in Tax Law at IBMEC-RJ, and of postgraduate courses at IBDT (SP) and FDV (ES). Author and coordinator of 16 books and more than 100 articles in Brazil and abroad.
He served as a judge on the Municipal Tax Council (CMT/SP) and as a judge on the São Paulo State Tax and Duties Court (TIT/SP).
Recognized with the “Rising Star” award in the area of “Tax Advisory” by the Leaders League in 2020, and winner of the international awards: TTN Tax Prize (Monaco, 2008); IBA Jack Batievsky Scholarship (Chile, 2010); IBA Tax Section Scholarship (Ireland, 2012); and IFA Poster Programme (USA, 2012).
